The East Central Iowa Workforce Development Board (ECIWDB) seeks to serve as a strategic leader and convener of workforce development system stakeholders in Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn and Washington counties.
Strengthening workforce partnerships in East Central Iowa.
ECIWDB strengthens East Central Iowa’s workforce system to improve connecting *vulnerable populations to education, training and support services that lead to quality local employment while promoting practices that enhance local hiring and retention of skilled workers.
*Vulnerable populations include youth and adults with barriers, the underemployed and individuals with disabilities.
Engaging in meaningful discussion with all ECIWDB stakeholders about the great work we are doing and plan to do.
Fostering continuous improvement through collaboration with our state and local stakeholders.
Making well rounded and informed decisions by checking relevant data, sources of truth, up to date information and a variety of perspectives as we make important decisions.
Nurturing strong partnerships with all our stakeholders through respectful exchange of ideas and transparent, integrated policies and processes.
