Executive Director, Tim Carson
Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Tim brings over 35 years of public and private sector experience to the East Central Iowa Workforce Development Board. Having held a wide range of leadership positions at various levels of government and corporate structures, his background in both community and workforce development serve to compliment the Mission & Vision of the ECIWDB.
Tim has a demonstrated history and passion for building powerful networks and systems that support the development of programs and initiatives for the creation of employment opportunities and job security. In his capacity as Executive Director, he will leverage this experience in his charter to support and deliver services that result in positive outcomes for the 7-county region in East Central Iowa.

Administrative Assistant, Anna Hovey
Anna Hovey, a mother of five, active volunteer in her community, re-introduced to the professional workforce with the ECIWDB in early 2024. She is organized and has a heart for helping others be the best version of themselves. On a daily basis, you will find her raising her 15-year-old son (the youngest of her tribe) preparing for and attending his many events and spending time with family, amidst ensuring the board meetings are scheduled and organized, nominations, resignations and other board support processes are being administered in a timely manner.
